Reindeer Chow

One of my favorite holiday treats to make, or just treat to make in general, is puppy chow (changed to Reindeer Chow for Christmas time). It is definitely prove to be a crowd pleaser! You can use these as a favor for your guests at a holiday party, like I did, or recreate the name to use as a wedding favor. You will not disappoint either way.

Here I used some cleaned Starbucks Frappaccino glass mugs to store my chow, for those that didn't have lids, I used plastic wrapping and tied it shut. The labels were purchased at Michael's and were printed in home using a free downloadable template from Gartner Studios.

Ingerdients:
9 cups of Chex cereal (any kind will do, but I like to use the Honey Chex)
1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter
1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar (powdered sugar)

Directions:
  1. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate; add peanut mutter and mix until smooth
  2. Remove from heat, have cereal in a large Zipblock bag and add chocolate peanut butter mix. Seal shut and shake until coated.
  3. Pour powdered sugar into the bag and shake until well coated. best if served same day. Store in an airtight container.
Simple, quick, and oh so yummmy...ENJOY!
